Others did, leaving him with no option but to walk or stumble the plank.

Valuable time has been lost already building up the head of steam needed to propel the heave-ho. One positive for the Democrats is that the old Zionist was sent packing before he had the opportunity to emulate the Boris Johnson fiasco that not only forced him to stand down as British Prime Minister but destroyed the Tory Party in the process. To boot, Kamala Harris - if the contender - is no Liz Truss. Plus, the narrative changes. While Tump supporters had good cause to believe in miracles - Biden made Trump look youthful despite his 78 years - Trump is now said to be the oldest ever candidate to bid for the White House. It now looks like old senile Donald versus young sharp Kamala.

ReplyDeleteThe numerous gaffes that are available on you tube etc of Biden are indeed hilarious but the numerous videos from which he got his original nickname(creepy Joe) are never highlighted by the great and the good. No decent man would ever countenance behaving like he has with women and kids. Trump not highlighting biden's antics really does suggest it's one big charade......it's a club and we aren't in it. Thank God!

I'm going for a conspiracy theory on this one. The shooter had all his social media scrubbed, was even in a Blackrock video and why did the secret service leave a guy alone who was walking around with a rangefinder plus see his for minutes on a roof and do nothing? Whole thing stinks to high heaven.
I watched the RNC at the weekend and got chills when Trump spoke. The blind faithful somehow believing in a divine mandate for a guy with zero morals. This augers no good.
They didn't 'fail'. If they wanted to he would have been dead. It's mere theatre.

DeleteI think somebody wanted him dead and thus far I haven't seen anything to indicate who, if anyone, was behind the shooter. Evidence based theories are always preferable to conspiracy based theories.
Probably the same people who've removed all talk of the attempted assassination of Trump on main stream media and who are now pushing wall to wall Harris favourable pieces.

Many people have a lot to lose if there is a Trump victory. The modest gains made under the Democrats will be reversed such as the Affordable Care Act. The rich will be no worse off, that is for sure. Women can be added to the list.
It would amaze me if you took Trump at his word about Gaza and Ukraine. He is a bigger liar than Gerry yet you seem to think he can be believed about something. Recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel was hardly done in the interests of peace.
Biden has been an absolute bastard but there is no reason to think Trump will be any better. Just take a look at his party.

There is nothing beyond these people. They are capable of anything but we still need evidence. Otherwise, we start believing that 4000 Jewish people didn't turn up for work on 9/11.
There are a lot of conspiracies in this world and there is evidence, but conspiracy theories are never convincing. They are usually ego driven: people pretending that they have some sort of secret knowledge nobody else has the ability to access and they will enlighten us with their wisdom. Something like the Marxist notion of false consciousness, so destroyed by Laclau's rejoinder: false consciousness just means people don't think the way we think they should think.
Has there been any link established between the shooter and others? When Timothy McVeigh carried out his bombing the wider network to which he belonged began to be mapped out. While I am not following it that closely I haven't noticed something similar at play here.

LOL! But you should definitely check out the conspiracy reddits, some of the underground hacktivist groups bring forth alarming and eyebrow raising videos. I'd dismiss the convoluted essay with nothing to back it up but when you read eyewitness testimony and they actually post the bodycam videos not shown on MSM it raises a lot of questions.

The fact that the shooter seems to have had his social media history wiped, the Feds saying they couldn't gain access to his phone because it had a password, or ( my favourite) they said they didn't know who he was but somehow got a DNA sample done within 12 hours(!!) and confirmed his identity!
Not to mention the absolutely basic failing of leaving that very close roof unsecured ( because it had a slope ffs), watching the shooter walk around with a range finder and a ladder(!), people in the crowd shouting for at least 10 minutes that there was a shooter on the roof with a rifle. The Secret Service taking photos of him before hand, one of their agents saying he was told not to fire...and the list goes on and on.
Once Biden stepped down that was it for the corporate media. All eyes of Trump and now on Harris. I've no idea what to make of her but they'll definitely pitch it as a younger Black woman versus the Patriarchy.
It's the last play they have.

ReplyDeleteI would not dismiss a hidden hand but would always want to see more. I think there is a difference between conspiracy theories and theories about a conspiracy. The first are like the stopped clock - right twice a day. The second often turn out to be true.
In the Trump shotting the funniest conspiracy theory is that an angel deflected the bullet away from him FFS.
Joe Rogan, who I fleetingly encounter rather than frequently, made some interesting points along similar lines to yourself.
Trump has always been bought by money Steve - it is his god.
In a complex grid to be navigated through we need a layman's guide - how I manage is a sort of Occam's razor: don't complicate, the simplest explanation is more often than not the right one.
