Rush Limbaugh, the infamous conservative radio host known for his message of racism, misogyny, homophobia, and bigotry, is dead. He was 70 years old.

Fox News reports:

Rush Limbaugh, the monumentally influential media icon who transformed talk radio and politics in his decades behind the microphone, helping shape the modern-day Republican Party, died Wednesday morning at the age of 70 after a battle with lung cancer, his family announced.

The Washington Post reports:

Rush Limbaugh, who deployed comic bombast and relentless bashing of liberals, feminists and environmentalists to become the nation’s most popular radio talk-show host and lead the Republican Party into a politics of anger and obstruction, died Feb. 17 at 70.

Limbaugh was a pig. The popular conservative radio talk-show host used his platform to promote racism, Islamophobia, misogyny, conspiracy theories and other forms of malignant bigotry. He thrilled and delighted his ignorant and mean-spirited audience with his outrageous and provocative statements meant to demean and demonize minorities. The following is but a small sample of some of Limbaugh’s most offensive comments:

 ... “Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?”

  1. Limbaugh followed the money. There is a demand for outrageous hate speech and his success is evidence of that fact. And Trumps 70million votes confirms that there is a lot of rich pickings.
