  1. For Naomi Wimbourne-Idrissi,Glynn Secker and others in Corbyn-shielding Jewish Voice for Labour; the Jewish Labour Movement, Labour Against Antisemitism and all other contributors to the EHRC Report on Labour Antisemitism are the "wrong types of Jews".

    1. well, no. There is no wrong type of Jew. There are Jews who side with human rights and Jews who back Israeli state terror. There are Jews who resemble Nazis, even some who are Nazis and there are Jews wholly opposed to Nazis. There is no one Jewish identity.

  2. I never said nor would say that there is no wrong type of Jew or Muslim or Catholic etc. There are Jews (probably the majority in the Diaspora) who support the existence of the State of Israel but who are totally opposed to the Occupation). There are religious Jews like the sect Neruei Kartai (who share platforms with Holocaust deniers) who will oppose the existence of Israel until the coming of the Second Messiah. There are other religious nut jobs who believe that the ancient lands of Judea and Samaria should form part of modern Israel. There are left-wing Zionists who abhor the human rights abuses on the West Bank and who support a two-state solution. There are Likudniks who identify with Trump and Orban who peddle antisemitic tropes around Soros and glob alism.

Ms Wimbourne-Idrissi should not have been subjected to "self-hating Jew taunts. But she appears to have no answer to the damning findings of the EHRC report; most likely because she does not want to acknowledge or accept the reality of far-left antisemitism which was largely the type of antisemitism which developed under Corbyn.

  3. Breaking:

Naomi Wimbourne-Idrissi and another officer from her CLP have received an administrative suspension from the Labour Party because of alleged conduct issues:

    1. looks like another attempt to purge those willing to question the Zionist narrative. More of it is likely to follow as Labour rushes to the right in a bid to get into government but ditching everything that would make it worthwhile to get into government.

  4. If the left wishes to make the defence of Corbyn's response to the findings of the EHRC report (including that the Labour Party under Corbyn had broken Equality laws and that the Leader's Office had directly interfered in disciplinary cases), their rallying cry then they will fail. For only 18 of the Socialist Campaign Group of 34 MPs have supported Corbyn; let's not forget that Corbyn was shown a copy of the EHRC report by Keir Starmer the day before its publication who requested that he refrain from commenting.

I would be far more concerned if Labour was to vote for whatever Brexit deal Johnson brings back to Parliament in some misguided attempt to win back lost "Red Wall" seats.

What is happening in CLPs such as Naomi-Wimbourne-Idrissi's, Nottingham, Hampstead and others relates to the mandatory recommendations of the EHRC not some hard left conspiracy fantasy about Israeli plots to remove "those willing to question the Zionist narrative. Under Corbyn, far left antisemitism was brought from the crank fringes to the mainstream. And btw I do not believe that these elements give a damn about the rights of Palestinians; Israel-Palestine is just an empty vessel into which they project their faux anti-imperialism and faux support for the Global South;some far right supporters of Israel like the EDL and Katie Hopkins do the same in projecting their anti-Muslim racism.

  5. I think Daniel Finngot the EHRC right on the morning of publication of its report. Too much of the Widgery to it and it raises the suspicion that it was set up to pave the way to return the Labour Party to the careerists who will drive it ever further to the right. Labour's endless shift to the Right has been one of the success stories of the Tories: forever refashioning Labour in its own image.
Starmer's attempt to silence Corbyn told us more about Sir Keir than it did about Jeremy.

  6. Anthony

A bit extreme in comparing the whitewashing of the Bloody Sunday massacre to the EHRC excoriation of the Labour Party.

    1. No - to compare the massacre with the anti-Semitism in the BLP would be extreme but not to compare the investigations and to say there was too much of the Widgery about it. I think it is a fair comment.
