Brexit has not received a retrospective mandate in GE19; I accept that as as supporter of parliamentary democracy. But I still hold to my view that the 2016 Referendum was a crime scene with flagrant interference from a hostile foreign power which dissemination disinformation on an industrial scale, illegal data harvesting by Cambridge Analytica and financing form dark sources. Brexit will be a disaster for these islands and I fear for EU citizens resident in the UK and other ethnic minority groups who really will be enveloped in a hostile environment legitimkised by the election of this Faragist government.
Former IRA volunteer and ex-prisoner, spent 18 years in Long Kesh, 4 years on the blanket and no-wash/no work protests which led to the hunger strikes of the 80s. Completed PhD at Queens upon release from prison. Left the Republican Movement at the endorsement of the Good Friday Agreement, and went on to become a journalist. Co-founder of The Blanket, an online magazine that critically analyzed the Irish peace process. Lead researcher for the Belfast Project, an oral history of the Troubles.
Barry whats your thought for today?...How is your master plan for 'the peoples vote' going now????
