Those carrying the cudgles were still following, just as much trapped in their beliefs as those who carried candles.
It’s not only restricted to religious phenomena. The social media of the two Scandinavian women beheaded in Morocco with a dull blade had, prior to their deaths, demonstrated a need to challenge the legitimacy of warnings of danger they would face, they challenged others not to pre-judge an individual. Now the published execution video is making those that view it vomit apparently, so horrific is the content.
