Only in the last two years they have murdered over 600,000 Palestinians*, from infants to elderly. But they failed. With every Palestinian baby and child, young and old, woman or man who was ripped to pieces, buried under the rubble, perished from hunger and thirst, Palestine became more synonymous with compassion, love and solidarity. Palestine soaked in blood and tears, covered with rubbles and torn bodies of babies has become the symbol of resistance, humanity, dignity and compassion.
Palestinians have suffered an unimaginable pain and they are facing elimination. However, they inflamed the fire of resistance, love and compassion. Palestine will never die and continue to be the thorn in the sight of evil rulers of the world; all those psychopaths whose insatiable greed is leading the world to disaster, death and ruin. Palestine for ever will be the symbol of resistance against injustice and a symbol of the fight for justice. Palestine for ever will be synonymous with compassion, love, solidarity and humanity.
The world is always the scene of the battle of opposite poles. Evil does not make sense without good. One pole has no substance without the other. "Good and evil" are ancient symbols of justice and injustice. The battle between good and evil is the core of human history. The main story of every religion is based on this concept. World literature has created masterpieces about this eternal battle, the battle for the preservation of humanity. Marxism analyses and expresses this battle in the context of class struggle and believes that the history of the world is the history of class struggle.
The bigger the evil, the greater the good; this is the only way you can describe this flood of compassion and solidarity in the world. Millions and millions of people around the world have taken to the streets to show their anger for and despisal of Israel, America and the West and their love and solidarity with the people of Palestine. In today’s world two flags are waved against each other, Israeli and Palestinian representing the evil and humanity.
The world has become extremely polarised. We live in a unique time in history. Genocides, murder, cruelty, ethnic cleansing have happened numerous times in history. Indeed, the history of colonialism from day one has been nothing but cleansing the native population of the whole world. North and South America, Australia and New Zealand are burial grounds for 60 to 100 million native populations. Africa has been the subject of genocides, ethnic cleansing, and slavery. Asia has suffered no less. But the history is not only about genocide, it is also about resistance and heroic battles fought for freedom and justice.
What distinguishes the past two years of genocide and ethnic cleansing is that the whole world is watching it live on screen. People are seeing with their own eyes how this psychopathic state and army are wiping out a whole population and proudly laugh and celebrate it. This has opened people’s eyes and minds. All “victim cries” of a religious state proudly following a murderous ideology, i.e. Zionism, has been shred into pieces. Propaganda has lost its force. We are witnessing an era of awakening. More and more people especially the young are waking up to the truth.
We live in a time of great movement of resistance and awakening. Whether the genocidal rulers could anticipate it or were ignorant, the reality is that they are fighting so hard to crush this movement. Fascism is taking over the whole Western world. An open struggle between the state with its oppressive apparatus and the people is being carried out in the open on the streets. We have never throughout history witnessed such open and visible battle on an international scale. As so-called “political leaders” are jetting around to negotiate and reach unity, people are unifying and coming together on the streets to show their resilience, compassion and steadfastness for justice.
It is a scary time but hope is alive and vibrant. Hope for a better world, for a just world with equality, freedom and prosperity for all. It is not easy. It seems far away, but it is possible. The history has shown that people have not submitted, neither have they accepted defeat. Let’s organise; let’s come together for a better and just world.
Free Palestine!
Long live equality, freedom and prosperity for all!
*Based on the Lancet study’s findings of the first nine months of the Israeli-imposed Gaza massacre, the projected death total by 25 April 2025 is 136,000 violent deaths after 15.5 months of killing.
However, this analysis only goes so far. A more comprehensive picture of the death toll in Gaza since the start of the current conflict suggests it is necessary to estimate the number of non-violent deaths resulting from war-imposed deprivation.
When deaths resulting from imposed deprivation (indirect deaths) are factored into mortality data, the total figures will be higher than those from only violent deaths (direct deaths). Eminent epidemiologist Professor Devi Sridhar (chair of Global Health, University of Edinburgh) reported in an article in The Guardian a ‘conservative estimate of four indirect deaths per one direct death’. Assuming that deaths from deprivation were four times the violent deaths, then the 136,000 violent deaths after 15.5 months of killing (25 April 2025) would imply 544,000 Gaza deaths from imposed deprivation, and that the total Gazan death toll would accordingly be 136,000 violent deaths plus 544,000 from imposed deprivation, leading to a staggering total of 680,000 deaths by 25 April 2025. Most of these victims, as indicated in earlier counts by the Ministry of Health are women and children.
