ReplyDeleteI hate the hypocrisy of him steadfastly ignoring the mess in the Middle East created by the U S military ( which he was once part of ) during the past 22 years . By all means , criticise British imperialism ; it's the gaslighting that needs calling out - hear no evil , see no evil , speak no evil ( on American foreign policy ) . When I attended " Stop the War " protests in Shannon , there was never anyone from S F or R S F present - seemingly they had no problem with hundreds of thousands of Americans ( annually ) in uniform ( some carrying weapons ) jaunting around & beyond the airport as if it were the 51 st state .

You ignore what is going on in Gaza and don't get called a hypocrite for it. Nor should you. Gaza is not what you comment on, but soccer and immigration. John Crawley comments on Ireland and its relationship to the British state. If he was to object to you talking about US imperialism then your charge of hypocrisy might have some merit. As it stands it is just ranting about somebody not saying what you want them to say. But sure, you can say all of that yourself. You are not a ventriloquist and others your puppet. If he praises US foreign policy then have a pop at him.
