Dixie Elliot ✍ Where we've arrived at is not the Ireland Bobby Sands dreamed of and died for.

It is an Ireland which is witnessing the rise of the Far-Right who mask their racist hatred behind patriotic names.

Surely now this slur, directed by one such hate grouping at Bobby's memory, will open the eyes of those who would profess to being Republicans while supporting this racism.

I have to say that at times it is like trying to soak up water with a brick but I can only keep trying.

I've been blocked from this hate group so I can no longer respond to this insult to brave Bobby Sands.

I am told that the comments below it, made by Brits and Loyalists, is shocking enough but that they are being allowed to stand.

Make no mistake about it that post was for the benefit of those who hate Ireland and everything Irish, the British Far-Right and Loyalism.

  1. Was Sean Russell # Far right ? If Elliott is the best the so called republican movement can offer , they may as well pack their bags . They will never get into Govt in the # 26 & as for living in a united Ireland run by buddies of the old windbag ( above ) ; there is a better chance of Mayo winning an Ireland football title .

    1. Ideologically, Russell wasn't anything. He was remarkably devoid of political ideas - get the Brits out was the height of it. Pádraig Óg Ó Ruairc claims that he was a Nazi collaborator but not a collaborationist in that he went to the Nazis to get guns and money not because he shared their ideas.
Dixie is quite a consistent commentator and despite your venting towards him, you have yet to come up with anything of substance that would give us something to seriously consider.
