Michael O’Rourke 🪶 Russophobia is reaching hysterical levels, stoked up continuously by the UK militarists and secret services.

And unsurprisingly they have also launched their Russophobic campaign in Ireland since they privately regard Ireland as theirs to do with as they please, despite any pretence of respecting Irish sovereignty. The campaign in Ireland was recently kicked off with a news story from British state broadcaster BBC. which I am finding it increasingly hard to distinguish from MI5.

This recent British intelligence-instigated scenario featured a report by one of their operation centres reporting on the existence of a Russian asset in the Dáil, codename Cobalt. It immediately started a rush by TDs and senators, all of whom are supporters of the NATO proxy-war on Russia led by US/UK imperialism and the EU Commission, exclaiming they are not Cobalt.

The following article is a response to these shameless Leinster House politicians, who would have the Irish people sleepwalk into NATO, back under British military hegemony on the basis of the wall-to-wall lies and propaganda in support of the Nazi, criminal Kiev regime. Thankfully however, the NATO-proxy, fascist Ukrainian forces have been totally defeated on the battlefield, most of the Russian territories of Donbas are liberated, and the Biden junta will only keep the Kiev regime going until Biden leaves office, allowing them to pretend the NATO project defeat was not on their watch.

So, following immediately on the Cobalt story, the political morons of Leinster House are falling over themselves lining up to disavow any inference of them countenancing even the slightest contact with a Russian political or media source, according to this BBC story. And unfortunately in this particular BBC story, unlike much of their reporting, it would be fairly true. No doubt also it would be quite gratifying for the BBC to see these TDs and senators denounce Russia while swearing fealty to US/UK imperialism’s war on Russia, and by extension to everywhere else the US and Brits are involved in despite claims of support for the oppressed victims.

The BBC article includes alarming warnings from Keir Giles of the Conflict Studies Research Centre, of possible Russian influence to be found almost anywhere, presumably even in unimportant Ireland. The TDs and senators while affirming their fealty to US/UK militarism might also be glad to know the Conflict Studies Research Centre is looking out for them against the nasty Russians; and it’s possible they might even know that this centre is a “private company”, formerly a division of the British Ministry of Defence. However it is understandable that the British could actually be concerned that the Russians would tap into the Irish offshore communications cables, particularly since it is they themselves who monopolise along with their US partner in that particular area of international banditry.

In addition to safeguarding the entire Irish communications system by GCHQ, the British RAF now control Irish airspace against any foreign intrusion; the British Left enjoy having offshoot political parties in the Dáil, and the British far-right and fascist groups also have entered Irish political space by engaging with and tutoring anti-immigrant far-right Irish groups. Unquestionably both of these political elements in Britain are heavily infiltrated by Britain’s MI5, and it is not too far of a stretch to assume this could be, or become a conduit into a widespread attempt to shape Irish political life.

Though still, on this whole matter of spies, as the BBC article and Keir Giles, have said - it is journalism and the media that is the main currency used in the spying business. This is undoubtedly correct, and we don’t have to look too far to see prime examples of how it can work. For instance: how many British based newspapers operate here in Ireland who can provide a platform for British intelligence assets? The answer is quite a few, which might come as a shock to the idiots in the Dail.

But probably the biggest success of the influence of British intelligence, in my opinion, is with RTE, Ireland’s now, pro-Unionist, pro-NATO national broadcaster. On all international news outlets, RTE defers completely to British military and intelligence sources, British newspaper sources, and relayed BBC or MI5 propaganda news. It brings to mind the question: at what point did RTE change from referencing from a vaguely pro-Irish standpoint, to being a sycophant of Britain’s monarchy for the consumption of the Irish people, to harmonising with the British narrative of the conflict in the north and all other British wars?

And another question is: could this happen simply of its own volition, or could it only happen with the active involvement of intelligence assets? It would be great to put these questions to the pro-Kiev regime idiots in the Dáil, but they are probably too busy singing from their MI5 hymn-sheets on Russian spies in the Dáil to look up.

    1. Unfortunately, the piece sounds too much like a rant. But people can hold such views without being stooges of Putin's 'KGB'.

    1. that's a strange one Mick - a nationalist loving foreign interference in the internal affairs of their own country.

  4. Anthony isn't that exactly what the EU do on a daily basis---interfere in Irish affairs---That's what Connolly warned about many moons ago when he spoke about hoisting a green flag over Dublin Castle and still being ruled by corrupt bankers etc...

    2. Frankie - not being a fan of the EU while very much feeling myself a European before Irish, there is a lot of stuff the EU does which I resile from. I don't see it as interference given that we have agreed to it even if I don't personally approve. And I certainly don't love it. Then, I am not a nationalist in any meaningful sense of the word - my colours are long nailed to the mast on that one, ultimately - like Pepe who we chatted about before if I remember rightly - favouring a global government. Nationalism in my view and nation states is what allows the US to dictate much of what goes on in the world when it has much smaller populations than China and India.
In general I like autonomy rather than interference - hence my view that a woman's human right to terminate a pregnancy should not be interfered with, or a person's right to love whom they want should not be interfered with by bible bashing bigots.

  5. Frankie, Ireland as a member of the EU consents to EU involvement in its affairs. Ukraine did not consent to being invaded by Russia. Sorry to have to point out the bleeding obvious.
