The trial was regarded by human rights campaigners such as Fr Des Wilson as a travesty of justice driven by an overriding desire - The Framing Of Michael McKevitt.
Bernadette Sands McKevitt in her letter raises the spectre of a politically motivated stitch up that relied almost exclusively on seriously tainted evidence procured by financial inducement.
They don't pay millions for no reason.
ReplyDeleteThey paid it for a reason - they funded the Kitson strategy of using the law to dispose of unwanted members of the public. Have they ever used a paid informer to jail a banker or a corrupt politician?

DeleteOne of the proudest things that I can say is that I was blessed enough to meet Michael McKevitt in Gaol. He was not only a gentleman but a genuine Irish hero. I can look up to him and tell my children that a man of real integrity existed once. Without waxing lyrical, what the Free-State did to him is as bad as what it committed @ ballyseedy and for the same aim as imposing British Rule in Ireland. Rupert is a scumbag. Mickey is a hero.
