LC: Homage to Catalonia.

TPQ: Best and worst books you have ever read?

LC: Best - Darkness At Noon or Court Of The Red Tsar Worst - Moby Dick.

TPQ: Book most cherished as a child?

LC:  Magical Faraway Tree.

TPQ: Favourite Childhood author?

LC: Enid Blyton (as a little kid)

TPQ: First book to really own you?

LC: Magical Faraway Tree.

LC: Male: George Orwell Female: JK Rowling.

TPQ: A preference for fact or fiction?

LC:  Fact. I read fact to fiction about 20 to 1, but every time I do read fiction I am reminded why I should read it more often.

TPQ: Biography, autobiography or memoir that most impressed you?

LC: Kershaw's books about Hitler - the 2 volume set.

TPQ: Any author or book you point blank refuse to read?

LC:  Any of the Fox News hosts like O'Reilly's tripe, or really any American right wingers

TPQ: A book to share with somebody so that they would more fully understand you?

LC: Not sure. To understand my politics, Darkness At Noon or The Hunting Of The President, but to understand me, I dunno.

Last book you gave as a present?

LC: Are You My Mother?

TPQ: Book you would most like to see turned into a movie?

LC: Any of the airport bookshop trashy spy novels. I can read anything, any absolute crap with no artistic merit at all if it has spies doing spy shit.

TPQ: The just must - select one book you simply have to read before you close the final page on life.

LC: Probably War and Peace, just to say I have read it.
