LC: Fact. I read fact to fiction about 20 to 1, but every time I do read fiction I am reminded why I should read it more often.

LC: Kershaw's books about Hitler - the 2 volume set.
TPQ: Any author or book you point blank refuse to read?
LC: Any of the Fox News hosts like O'Reilly's tripe, or really any American right wingers
TPQ: A book to share with somebody so that they would more fully understand you?
LC: Not sure. To understand my politics, Darkness At Noon or The Hunting Of The President, but to understand me, I dunno.

LC: Any of the airport bookshop trashy spy novels. I can read anything, any absolute crap with no artistic merit at all if it has spies doing spy shit.

LC: Probably War and Peace, just to say I have read it.

Just noticed that while Lee hated Moby Dick, one of the later contributors described it as fascinating. I loved Darkness At Noon. At this point I no longer remember if I have read Homage To Catalonia! I guess I did, having read a lot of Orwell while in prison. Spies doing spy shit - you should try Mick Herron. Really good. I have Kershaw's books about Hitler here but at this stage I doubt I will never get to read them.
