UnHerdThe Sarah Everard vigil could have been a moment to show solidarity and promise reform.

It would have been a peaceful vigil. Women laid flowers for Sarah Everard, lit candles, held placards: “She was walking home,” read one. “We will not stop until women are safe,” another said. The Duchess of Cambridge was there, quietly adding a bouquet to the tributes. It would have been a peaceful vigil, and then it wasn’t anymore. Now the defining image of the protest on Clapham Common isn’t the flowers or the candles or the placards. It’s of a young woman, pinned to the ground by male police officers, eyes wide over her mask.

It is hard to imagine how this could look worse. The man charged with abducting and murdering Everard is a serving police officer; and the Independent Office for Police Conduct is now investigating the Met over its handling of various matters relating to the case. All week we women had been asking ourselves why we don’t feel safe in public spaces, why we so rarely report assaults to the police and why we get so little justice when we do.

The Police Have A Woman Problem

  1. Don't say anything, this is between me and you, but I heard it was the Russians, a psycop to undermine the British bobby, fly bastards, you need to be on your toes

    1. David - stupid is what stupid does. The way they handled that protest was like something straight out of the PSNI handbook for dealing with victims from the Lower Ormeau Road.

  2. No doubt. Nothing is a shock to me with cops. Getting the Russians angle in before anyone else. Nothing is what it seems. Covid is transmitted through 5g towers, ex Presidents are Russian agents, in fact anything a bit dodgy is Russian interference. Woman's rights are an elaborate hoax to undermine masculinity. There's a civil war brewing in the US. It's all happening, wake up before it's too late. Hahahaha

    1. I wonder if conspiracy theorists have some sort of narcissistic personality disorder

  3. Funny you should mention that. I was reading a psychologist and he was addressing conspiracy theories, he reckoned a lot of peddlers were people with above average intelligence who never prospered academically, they foster a bit of resentment against academia and conspiracy theories are their way of proving they are more in tune than the average citizen. Some are Machiavellian political tools. They are a part of society now. Can't have a conversation about much without unsubstantiated theories thrown in

    1. There might be something in that and I guess it is worth a read. I think the idea that they can see something that most others can't is a motivating factor for them. The bible is the biggest conspiracy theory of the lot - some sky guy, just 6000 years ago magically created everything.

  4. Some conspiracy theories good some conspiracy theories bad. I find it ironic that some scoff others but at the same time peddle the theory Gerry Adams conspired to rid the RM of Hawks so he could pursue his political career etc etc. Some would even say it's a theory that the Brit state systematically murdered Irish citizens and then covered up by promoting itself as concerned peace keepers.
People pointing the finger can quickly find 3 fingers pointing back for eg if the folk involved in the Boston tape saga had been a bit more dubious and questioned motives and promises of the participants then some of them could avoided a whole lot of hassle. No question of narcissism getting in the road of that car crash of course!

  5. Mick,
They definitely peak your interest. The magic bullet is thought provoking. Trade centre seven being omitted from the official report raises eyebrows. Ever since Trump there seems to be a normalising of unsubstantiated allegations. The opcw whistleblowers indicate another conspiracy theory readily accepted by the msm in relation to Douma.

  6. JFK was killed by a magic bullet fired by Oswald from the Dallas library lol
