A former IRA hunger striker has called on Sinn Fein to stop selling Bobby Sands sports jerseys.

Gerard Hodgins said they were exploitative and in bad taste.

He was speaking to the Belfast Telegraph after it was revealed that the future of the Sinn Fein company involved in the sale of republican memorabilia is at risk due to falling demand for its wares.

  1. If Adams and the other trustees have gotten away with ripping off Bobby Sand's legacy for this long -why would they stop now? Bobby Sands legacy, by law, passed to his son -Adams and Co. banked on the Sand's family, on principled republican grounds, would not report Adams to the PSNI/Gardai for theft of property and copyright theft.

I understand that Adams and his fellow trusties went back to the courts years later to fix flaws in the terms of the Bobby Sands Trust. Trustees cannot alter a Trust -only a beneficary of the Trust can apply to the court to have terms of a trust altered --so who are the beneficiaries?
