The Village asks: Was Thomas Passmore, Paedophile, Politician And County Grand Master of the Belfast Loyal Orange Lodge, also an MI5 agent. Written by Joseph de Burca.

On 16 September last Paul Graham told RTE’s ‘Liveline’ that he had been sexually abused by a senior figure in the Orange Order. Although not named, the abuser was Thomas Passmore, the County Grand Master of Belfast Loyal Orange Lodge.

That Passmore was a paedophile will not come as news to the Northern Ireland Office, MI5 and MI6. In 1973 he was named in a press briefing prepared by the British Army at Lisburn, Northern Ireland. The briefing concerned Tara, a Loyalist paramilitary organisation led by William McGrath, the notorious child rapist and Housefather at Kincora Boys’ Home. McGrath, who acted as an agent for MI5 and MI6, was convicted for child rape in 1981.

To its credit, a number of senior military figures in the British Army tried to put an end to the abuse of children at Kincora. Foremost among them was Captain Colin Wallace. He and his military colleagues were thwarted by the NIO, MI5 and MI6, especially by a senior MI5 officer called Ian Cameron. Cameron was once a runner for the post of Director General of MI5. Those organisations and the PSNI persist to this day in covering up the full extent of the abuse at Kincora and elsewhere.

The 1973 Tara Press Briefing (’73 TPB) described how ‘other people closely associated with McGrath and aware of his activities are, Thomas PASSMORE, Rev PAISLEY, Rev Martin SMYTH, James MOLYNEAUX and Sir Knox CUNNINGHAM QC MP’.

  1. Interesting read. Even without commenting on the veracity or otherwise of the Village article, the separate report from the Belfast Telegraph that a classified file on Kincora will remain locked in official archives until 2085 speaks volumes.

Yes, that's a year, not a mistyped time of day. The year 2085. Mind-boggling. Yet, of course, there's nothing to hide. Well, only until 65 or more years. At that time it can be locked away for longer if those with power so decide.

  2. If we leave aside his love of boys, Passmore loved m=nothing more than to pontificate on what the "evils" of republicanism were doing to his Christian land. What chutzpah.

  3. The simple fact the files on Kincora are locked down should tell everyone all they need to know. The Belfast Telegraph report Simon mentions (I mentioned it a few weeks ago), says the files are locked to protect the victims. Yet the victims of Kincora have said they all want justice.

The only people who are protected are the abusers and their handlers. I personally believe after reading a lot of reports about Kincora is it goes right to the heart of the parasites in London and their spy masters.

I have to think there are a few good men within Mi5/6 who are sitting on files and want to release them. I hope they do. They could upload the files to wikileaks..

I have linked this CH4 news report on Kincora several times.. Richard Kerr speaks out about the abuse he received, watch it ,13mins and 18 seconds of your life and tell me he is lying about a paedophile ring in Westminster....I believe Richard Kerr and he and all the other victims deserve justice....

  5. Frankie,

How'd you think they blackmailed Donaldson all those years ago?

  6. Stevie,

I don't care if the sex offender is called Donaldson, Epstein, Saville or Passmore. I can accept some adults are sexually attracted to children. But I can't get my head around anyone covering up for child sex abuse. The spooks and whoever else covered up the abuse, they are just as guilty as the rapist. It shows me how sick some people are. If I was my call..Thirty years bread and water then take them out and shoot them at dawn.

    1. I totally agree with you. And that Epstein saga stinks to high heaven, yet it's no longer even in the news.
