Sandy Boyer announces the return of Radio Free Eireann after a short break.


As Radio Free Eireann returns to the air this Saturday, June 6 at 12 Noon New York time, our guests will be Eamonn McCann, columnist for The Irish Times and Belfast Telegraph; Brendan Fay, Co-Chair of St. Pat's for All and Colin Broderick, author of Orangutan and That's That.

Eamonn will ask why Mitchell Mclaughlin. the Sinn Fein Stormont Speaker, is courting Unionists by laying a wreath at a commemoration of the WW I Battle of Messines.  

Brendan will recount his experiences campaigning for a "Yes" vote in Ireland's recent marriage equality referendum.  

Colin is seeking support for his film "Emerald City." the first honest portrayal of Irish construction workers in New York.

Radio Free Eireann is heard on WBAI, 99.5 FM and wbai.org on the web where the show is archived.

  1. Is the historic archive ever going to be accesible again? I cant always catch the show as it goes out, but I used to get the archived version, and this hasnt been updated since September 2014? Thanks
