Sandy Boyer with his regular weekly update on what is being brought to listeners this Saturday from Radio Free Eireann.

Stephen Murney who was recently freed after spending 14 months in Northern Ireland's maximum security Maghaberry prison will be on Radio Free Eireann Saturday March 8th when the show broadcasts at 1 pm New York time. He was charged with "possession of materials of use to terrorists" because he photographed the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

Gerry McGeough will also be interviewed about the secret deal between Sinn Fein and the British government which allowed selected people charged with armed actions as a result of the conflict to return to Northern Ireland without being arrested.

We will continue to ask for your contributions to keep Radio Free Eireann on the air. If you can give $75 we will thank you with a DVD of The San Patricios the documentary on the Irish soldiers who left the US army to fight for Mexico in the Mexican American war.

Radio Free Eireann broadcasts live from Rocky Sullivan's of Red Hook, 34 Van Dyke Street in Brooklyn and we are heard Saturdays from 1-2 pm New York time on WBAI 99.5 FM and wbai.org on the web where it is archived for 10 days.

  1. Between Stephen Murney's & Gerry McGeoughs experience's, it's like reading about the late 70's early 80's in a book.

Gerry Kelly was asked by Gerry McGeough TWICE to back him up over the OTR letter thingy. And TWICE Gerry Kelly refused??? Fcuk.....

Gerry McGeoughs line of thought about him seeing a 'coming of minds' between anti-agreement republicans...Well reading what posters say here and else where on the net..I can buy into his line of thought.
