Great commemoration this evening. The children speaking and singing made it a very emotional affair and the entire event It was a tribute to the organisational ability of the Family and Friends.

I remember attending the removal of Vol Dominic McGlinchey's remains from the Lourdes hospital in Drogheda and I have to say I was proud to be present to pay respects to such a fine soldier of Ireland. I was also shocked to learn of the death of Mary in Dundalk previous to that and one can only wonder about the pain Declan and Dominic og has gone through especially with the death of their sister at such a young age. Declan and Dominic have grown into fine young men and their parents would be proud of them. May Dominic senior and Mary rest in peace, you's will never be forgotten.
