  5. Marty-

    You are what you read-

We ain't got the voting power in lisburn council yet- to make everthing equal-but yes- same old story there-

The stoops asked the unionist nicely- if that is true then the s.d.l.p should ask lisburn unionists nicely to take down the
u.d.r / u.v.f statue- looks like they have their ear-

  8. michaelhenry,
Brian Mor is forcing the shinners to remove his 1798 portrait from the City Hall.
Brian has problems with his republican art being put on show by the 'sell out' party in one of the remaining bastions of 'British rule'
There will be some red faces amongst 'team Sinn Fein' if they have to remove it and return the portrait of the Queen.

  9. Fionnuala-

One of the last bastions of brit rule you say- belfast city hall- are you opposed to all the Sinn Fein members who took their seats over the years under the dome-

Brian Mor has the right to ask or say anything he wants- same as anyone else- but if he sells pictures then its not up to him-

Sell out- don't know how anyone can go against their country or people- Ireland is to importand to be worried about some name-calling-

The Queen and her subject husband are still hanging in the mayors parlor- you should listen to the news as well as just watching it-

  10. Tell me Mickeyboy why would true republican socialists want to leave a picture of the "royals" hanging in their office? its like Poleglass the only place where fathers day cards come in packs of five!

  11. michaelhenry,
you should also listen to the news. The artist who painted that particuar painting does not want it hanging in the Sinn Fein Lord Mayor's 'dome of delight.'or parlour which ever you wish.
You are perfectly right, when you say artists sell painting, in the case however, the republican artist has stated he is offended that his painting of the United Irish Men has found its way into the dome.

  12. Marty-

Im sure there are a few who would rather see the head royals hang instead of pictures of them- but-

The Sinn Fein mayor will try to represent every-one- is this not a true Republican socialist attitude at its best-

    Fionnuala-

Would the United Irishmen and women be offended to have a picture of them in the mayors office- who knows- If a Artist does not like where their pictures end up he should not be selling any of them- Would AM be offended if one of his books was in the mayors parlour- i don't think he would care-

  13. Marty,

My old friend Sean McGinchey is the mayor of Limavady. He is the most un-mayor like person imaginable. I laugh at the thought of it as he will himself. Despite political differences we remained good friends. The last time we met was on the Glenshane Pass when I was on the way to Derry to do a discussion on policing. He explained his position as I did mine and we shook hands on it. I always had a lot of time for him.
