Far-right commentator Joshua Haymes recently posted a video in which he beseeched his fellow Christian nationalists to learn to defend the institution of slavery because the Bible makes it clear that "it is not inherently evil to own another human being."

Haymes—who hosts a podcast with pastor Brooks Potteiger of Pilgrim Hill Reformed Fellowship, a far-right church located outside of Nashville, TN, that is aligned with Christian nationalist pastor Douglas Wilson and counts Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth as a member—was reacting to a recent Jubilee video in which conservative Christian commentator Allie Beth Stuckey debated 20 liberals.

Haymes was unimpressed with Stuckey's response when challenged about the Bible's sanction of the practice of slavery, warning that offering up anything short of a vigorous defense of slavery opens the door to challenging the authority of the Bible on all sorts of issues.

"The institution of slavery is not inherently evil," Haymes insisted.

"It is not inherently evil to own another human being. It is very important that every Christian affirm what I just said," he continued. "Not only should they affirm it, every Christian in today's society should be able to defend what I just said."

Earlier this week, Right Wing Watch noted the likelihood that Christian nationalist pseudo-historian was involved in convincing the Trump administration to order a review of exhibits within the Smithsonian Institution to ensure that they conform to and reflect the administration's ideology.

This theory gained more credence when Barton himself admitted on today's episode of "The WallBuilders Show" that he "was up at the White House a week ago and I told them, by far, the most racist and most historically inaccurate museum in Washington, DC, by far, has got to be the museum on African American history."

On today's program, Barton and his son Tim claimed that Smithsonian museums are rife with "anti-American bias" and the exhibits are guided by a "modern Marxist approach" designed to portray "America as a fundamentally flawed and evil nation."

The Bartons are particularly upset that the museums seem to have "an obsession with slavery."

"Yes, slavery was part of America's story, but that's not the defining part of America's story," Tim Barton said. "When the story is being told that this is the most significant thing for American history ... 

Christian Nationalists Blast The Smithsonian Institution's 'Obsession With Slavery'

Christy Walsh ✍ It is no exaggeration to say convicted felon Donald Trump has revived America’s dark past of slavery and wants to return to the days of penal colonies. 

The elements of some forms of slavery have not changed for millennia, specifically, chattel slavery (human property) involves slavers kidnaping unsuspecting victims as they go about their lives, then shackle, shave, mistreat and traffic/disappear them as part of the dehumanising process. Victims are quickly disappeared and kept incognito, leaving their families not knowing what happened to them or if they will see their loved ones again. The victim’s communities and families are terrorised and left in a state of nervous shock. Those left behind live in fear of ICE (slavers) returning. No one is safe, including children who are left traumatised and in fear.


ICE use ethnicity and tattoos to find their victims and not evidence of guilt. Evidence of criminality or unlawful entry into the US are not required. Willing ethnic accomplices (Latinos for Trump) and pardoned J6 insurrectionists help catch victims. Victims have political and economic value and the US/El Salvadorian relationship is purely a commercial transaction over chattel (property). ICE tactics have been so ruthlessly indiscriminate that schools and children with cancer can be targeted. It is for good reason, other countries have issued warnings, to their citizens, about the dangers of travelling to the US which has become a banana republic almost overnight.

None of the victims have committed any crimes in the United States or El Salvador. It only takes an “Opsie, too late” mistake for a person to be disappeared to El Salvador with no prospect of return.[1] A Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman explained there was no need for evidence of criminality if prejudicial innuendo will be enough, "[they] are actually terrorists, human rights abusers, gangsters, and more. They just don't have a rap sheet in the U.S.”[2] There is no due process or presumption of innocence, and unlawful arrest and detention doesn’t properly explain what is occurring to these men. Internment involves incarceration by removal of due process and that too falls short to explain their plight. These men are not held on any lawful purpose but on the abuse of power to exercise complete ownership over them. Their capitivity in El Salvador involved a monetary exchange and that means slavery properly defines the whole torturous ordeal these men and their families are subject to: disappeared into one of the world’s most brutal prisons on no legitimate lawful grounds, no evidence of doing anything wrong, no visits, no phone calls, no legal representation, and no judicial oversight.

Pro bono lawyers and human rights bodies cannot communicate with the victims but are doing what they can in both the US and El Salvador – where applications for the sacred writ of habeas corpus cannot be enforced. Even illegal immigrants have Constitutional rights under the 5th Amendment. But in the eyes of two Dictators, Donald Trump and Nayib Bukele, slaves have no Constitutional or habeas corpus protection. The writ of habeas corpus originates from a case involving an escaped slave hiding in the hold of a ship in an English port: Slavers argued he was their chattel and wanted him returned but Lord Mansfield, Chief Justice of the Court of King's Bench, famously declared: ‘any man who breathes English air is a freeman.” (Somerset v Stewart case (1772)). Possession, or ownership, over Trump and Bukele’s victims is absolute and their victims are merely objects for the 2 dictators to negotiate the right price for their human chattel.

Slavery and inhuman and degrading treatment are universally prohibited. Both the United States and El Salvador are signatories to the American Convention on Human Rights "Pact of San Jose, Costa Rica". Both are guilty of violating Articles 5, 6 and 7 of the Convention. Article 6 prohibits slavery or involuntary servitude. Article 5 prohibits inhuman and degrading treatment. Article 7 protects the right to freedom and due process in both jurisdictions. The high profile case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia has exposed the process, from its flaws, to the wilful intention to do wrong. Hopefully, Mr Garcia and his family will soon be reunited, but it must be remembered the other men trafficked and sold to El Salvador are all victims, along with their families and children. A US federal court has ordered his return.[3] But, the legitimacy of the US Courts hangs in the balance under the Trump Regime. In fact, 5 Supreme Court Justices are whores to Trump and his billionaire friends and undercut the Federal Judge by refusing to uphold his order. SCOTUS deference to the Trump Regime is reminiscent to a ruling in a 2009 by an Australian Judge, John Dyson Heydon KC:

The proceedings reveal a strange alliance. A party which has a duty to assist the court in achieving certain objectives fails to do so. A court which has a duty to achieve those objectives does not achieve them. The torpid languor of one hand washes the drowsy procrastination of the other.[4]

No one can enforce civil or human rights law in corrupt authoritarian regimes especially where their Supreme Court Justices are subservient to dictators and bribes. The most the Trump Regime will do is confirm that Mr Garcia is still alive[5]. That was assumed, but that raises the question have other men died? Did Mr Garcia and/or other men suffer any serious injuries during their ill-treatment? Are they receiving regular meals and access to water? Do they get medical treatment for any injuries? Can the International Red Cross be granted access for a welfare check on these men?

The preamble of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights has particular relevance to the Trump Regime’s manifold attacks on democracy and civil society:

Whereas it is essential, if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law.*

Martin Niemöller’s poem ‘First They Came’, warns of the dangers of silence and not speaking out against oppression and tyranny. Now Trump has stated his intention to subject US citizens to being disappeared to El Salvador[6] for as little as causing criminal damage to a car[7]. During Monday’s meeting between Trump and Bukele, both men were in open agreement about Trump creating an archaic penal colony in El Salvador for US citizens. And every citizen should be concerned how both dictators expressed their disinterest in fixing mistakes. One reason the Trump Regime might be steadfastly against fixing its admitted mistake with Mr Garcia, is because it knows if it fixes it they might have to ‘fix’ the whole flawed and unlawful enterprise. 

The US is an emerging pariah state, aligning itself with the world’s worst tyrants and dictators by showing it has no regard for fundamental human rights of either citizens, migrant workers or asylum seekers. It is not unimaginable that Trump might rendition political opponents to Moscow or start pushing them out windows.

* Note: many observers have been short sighted to believe that Trump would selflessly help Elon Musk to become the world’s first Trillionaire, I’d say from his known egomaniac criminal propensity, Trump has his eye on that goal for himself.

Trump's Slave Trade 2025 🪶 Kidnapped, Trafficked And Sold

From the Bristol Post A senior Tory city councillor in Bristol has described slave trader Edward Colston as a 'hero', and the toppling of his statue as 'frenzied thug violence'.

Cllr Richard Eddy said he has received more mail in the past 24 hours over this one issue than he has over anything else in his 28 years as a councillor in Bristol - and it was a 'stream of outraged responses'.

The politician, who has served as the Conservative leader on Bristol City Council and is still the local councillor for Bishopsworth in the south of the city, said he was 'horrified and appalled' by the scenes in the city centre on Sunday afternoon, in which a group of people pulled down the statue and then it was rolled to the Floating Harbour and tipped over the edge.

... In 2001, he resigned as deputy leader of the Conservative group at City Hall after he began to use a golliwog doll as a mascot, and then got into hot water soon after that when he said the council should hire 'more attractive lesbians'.

Boris Johnson, having a ‘few rotten apples’ in the Minneapolis Police Dept to thank for saving his politically plagued skin over the Dominic Cummings debacle, returned the favour by critically rounding on those in the UK protesting the death of George Floyd and not Anthony Grainger with references to COVID-19 and physical distancing - just as he did with Cummings! Priti Patel, not to be left out of the contrariety, followed in hot adulation of Boris by repeating his words in her tweet, originality being something Priti doesn’t suffer lightly.

Those who resorted to physical protestation when they dumped a statue of altruistic slave trader Edward Colston into the Bristol harbour were especially focused on as thugs and described by some, Peter Mandelson in particular, a man who’s very presence oozes living proof of moral and ethical etiquette, as mob rule.

Even Sir Keir Starmer, rounded on them and decried that their behaviour was wrong and that Colston’s statue should have been removed years ago after much discussion with tea and cake and possibly stored in a museum for historical reasons ... a man who after that remark is now destined to never enter 10 Downing Street!

Perhaps a ‘museum of historical cunts’ would be more suitable where those current cunts, mainly Bristol’s Society of Merchant Venturers, who previously and continuously supported its existence could go and worship him.

Actually destroying it and telling the historical truth of the man was never discussed ... a bit like Cromwell, Cecil Rhodes, Bomber Harris, Churchill or even Thatcher’s statue at Westminster and who all in their own individual way qualify for the museum of historical cunts. Just ask those on the receiving end of their actions!

Colston, a slave trader and Tory Member of Parliament, and no doubt an acquaintance of Oliver Cromwell, who used his fortune to justify his actions with philanthropic acts towards the good citizens of Bristol, just as all immoral and unethical murdering bastards do when seeking approval of their actions by the mob, now lies at the bottom of what constitutes part of the Bristol Channel.

Just as it has been estimated that up to 20,000 of his unwilling ‘shackled passengers’ on his transatlantic ships lie at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean due to food shortages or disease on board. Men women and children were shamefully dumped overboard to accommodate the survival of the rest of the cargo and guarantee profit. A moral compass that Britain retained throughout its history.

Slavery throughout the colonies was decreed immoral and unethical which apparently it wasn’t until then and abolished under the Abolishing of Slavery Act in 1833, even though trade in slavery was abolished in 1807. The descendants of those slaves now living in Britain were dutifully informed in 2015 by HRM Treasury that they had been paying of a debt in modern terms equivalent to £308 billion for the compensation to slave owners from the loss of earnings from their ancestors being declared free men and women ... they helped pay for it!

And in modern times the same duplicitous establishment attitude prevails with the Tory government policy of furlough. In 2008 the British government directly paid of the banking sectors debt to the tune of £137 billion. This time though the Tories came up with furlough. A pretentious government policy of kindness and consideration given to us by government to help us though this pandemic.

A policy that actually allows the government to ensure bank repayments are made while falsely endearing themselves to the people. 80% of wages, of which most of it goes on mortgages, car HP payments and credit card bills and thus staving off a run on the banks due to lack of payments – all routes of debt lead to the banks irrespective of the debt. Like the ancestors of the slaves, we’ve been duped.



And so:

Some claim that the above nursery rhyme is in reference to the plague. But what specific pathogen it references has led to much debate on whether it is Bubonic or Black in nature. Bubonic being carried by the fleas of rats that jumped species to humans or Black (the Great Pestilence) that as yet is not fully understood but who’s wide disbursement and rapid spread is now widely believed to be down to something else rather than the usual suspects – rats.

Others believe it just a nonsense rhyme much like the daily briefing given by Conservative ministers on Covid-19 … although one is historical fact while the other is fiction.

We all fall down…..normally references those that succumb to its virulence, unfortunately the exception being Dominic Cummings!

But I will leave you with this,

Let us rejoice at the irony of Edward Coulston’s statue as it lies at the bottom of the dock in Bristol - just as many of his passengers ended their days in a watery grave.

And George Floyd, in my day a man who would have been classed as a ‘hood’ and who at some point in his criminal career would probably have been kneecapped, whose image is now painted on the walls on the Falls road and hailed by those who would have physically punished him as a symbol of resistance.

Fuck - how things twist and turn!
