Flowers

Some men never think. You did.
You came to me and said,
I nearly bought you flowers.
But something happened and you never brought them.
♞♜♝
This made me smile. Then I hugged you,
You smiled, I’m still smiling.
The flowers you nearly brought have lasted all this while,
♞♜♝
Because you nearly brought them, when I see you,
I warm two empty hands one as long as the other
Held outwards these are my flowers from you.
