  1. Here's my theory.

What if evolution happened, but it wasn't the whole story?

We mess around with animal DNA now. We selectively breed animals, genetically modify them, clone them and move species from one part of the world to another.

So imagine what a civilisation thousands, maybe millions of years ahead of us could do.

What if aliens visited Earth when early humans were still evolving?

They wouldn't need to create man from scratch. They could have taken whatever early hominid was already here and messed around with its DNA until they got what they wanted.

And maybe that's why we've found so many different humanoid fossils. We automatically assume they're all just branches of evolution. Maybe they were. But could some have been attempts that didn't quite work out?

It would also explain why our DNA fits with the other primates. Of course it does, if that's what they started with.

Then you've got all the ancient stories.

Different civilisations, thousands of miles apart, talking about beings coming from the heavens, gods coming down to Earth, mankind being created or changed, strange things happening in the skies and knowledge of astronomy that still raises questions today.

I'm not saying that proves aliens. It doesn't.

But I do find it strange that we're happy to accept that humans can alter animals genetically today, while the idea that a civilisation vastly more advanced than us might have done something similar to us is treated as ridiculous.

Maybe evolution did most of the work.

Maybe somebody just gave it a nudge.

Science isn't perfect either. Science changes when new evidence turns up. Things once accepted as fact have been changed or replaced when we learned more.

So I'm not saying aliens did it....

And I'm not saying aliens didn't do it.....

    I'm saying...

    How do we know?
