President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address this week was widely recognized as a marathon of lies and gaslighting—but not by his friends at Intercessors for America, who continued their relentless marketing of all things Trump with a new “prayer guide” that functions as a long press release that unquestioningly affirms the claims Trump made in his speech.

The IFA document basically lists Trump talking points—for example, “Tariffs ended other countries ripping off America”—and links them to prayers and passages from the Bible. An email to IFA’s prayer warriors promoting the new prayer guide says the State of the Union included “plenty of answered prayers.” It linked to video of the speech for anyone who missed it. The guide praises Trump’s assertions about a religious renewal, adding, “Thank You for this administration that openly honors and glorifies Your name.”

Intercessors for America runs the White House Prayer Team, which also pushes Trump administration propaganda to conservative Christian pastors and activists. IFA is closely allied with Paula White’s National Faith Advisory Board, which does the same via emails and webinars for Trump-aligned religious leaders and gatherings like last week’s Unleashed conference.
