  1. When I do the maths I still think the Donald is a better deal than a cunt called kamala---we all know the Donalds sins and flaws---she is a hypocrite.

I want the Donald to win.

" ...Boyle said that while he was encouraged by the fact that in all local elections since 2022 Democratic candidates have outperformed polling, he is also concerned by the fact that in “2016 and 2020, those pollsters missed that in-Trump vote, because he seems to draw out this small percentage of people who have just proven impossible to poll, who don’t come out for any other elections that don’t have Trump’s name on the ballot”.

    3. Frankie, have you stopped to consider that the position of the Palestinians will be immeasurably worse with the election of Trump? Mind you, I have always thought that your supposed sympathy with them is based on the ethnic identity of their oppressors and nothing else.

Kamala is not perfect or infallible but how anyone with a smidgen of a moral compass can wish for the election of someone who repeats lies that Haitians eat household pets; is comfortable with Puerto Rica being called a "floating island of garbage " and of Blacks being targeted with watermelon jibes among his many racially charged fog horn blows is beyond me unless they are racist/homophobic/sexist/antisemitic cnuts.

Should Kamala win with the support of women mobilised with anger at the deprivation of bodily autonomy rights and the misogyny of "The Donald" and his scummy MAGA following, I hope you choke on your spliff, Frankie.

  2. And women over 65 who remember the leery boss at work, remember the bottom smacking and breast fondling but who were legally powerless to act are flocking to vote for Harris.

    1. there will be a certain irony in it if Trump does lose. A man who obviously believes in abortion is defeated in large part because of the women he alienated due to his pandering to the religious right and its hatred of women's right to choose.

The main reason I want 'The Donald' to win is that he is comedy gold—I've been saying that since before Trump was elected in 2016.....

  5. Highly amusing watching someone try to one up the other in the US election debate. Not much more needs to be said about Trump than has already been said but Harris " There are no US troops in warzones" has told more than her fair share of porkies in her time.

Trump is the far more dangerous of the two though but the Democrats have not exactly been a shining beacon of hope either.
One of the dumbest things Kamala Harris' presidential campaign repeats often is that she is ready to "turn the page."

What the fuck have they been doing for the past 4 then? Clearly Biden wasn't in charge, so what the fuck was she at then?

Nothing but a corporate interest shill. When Lynne Cheney, who profits enormously from war backs you, then at the very least an eyebrow should be raised.

    1. I have no faith in either of them but politics is less about what you like and more about what is marginally better. Much like wanting Starmer's party to defeat Sunak's - not because Starmer is going to do much good but simply down to him being marginally preferable.
A black woman president will drive a racist misogynist like Trump mad - that alone makes her a preferable option.

      Delete
    2. Steve, I think she m"" eans "turn the page" on the culture wars, the race and gender conflicts provoked by Trump. It is the future of democracy that is being deliberated on. "Corporate shill" rhetoric od becoming tiresome.

    3. You may be tiring of it Barry but that doesn't change it's reality. The Democrats just like the Republicans are all in a bought congress.

Looks like the early doors polling has Trump by a bit of a margin too. Interesting times.

Most normal people call a spade a spade and when they see loopers imposing cracker policies then it should be no shock when they push back. P.s stating that it was the Russians or it was conspiracy theorists spreading disinformation doesn't excuse nut job ideologies I.e don't need Russians or anyone else to point that out.

    3. Barry that would work much better if you would also call Israelis who voted in the current far right Netanyahu government the scum of the earth.

    4. Steve - agreed. It never had a moral compass. It, Israel and Russia are three regimes without any compass other than expansionism. None of them adhere to a rules based system. The chutzpah of the US, unlike the other two, lies in its demand that everybody else obey international law. I can't stand Trump but there is only one president I found more obnoxious - Biden. And that is down to his role in the Gaza genocide where he is a full on ally of Nazi Israel. He has a brass neck calling Trump a Nazi.

      Delete
    5. It's baffling why anyone in this day and age would even consider the US to have any sort of morality given it's history. Much like the UK, it's replete with shameful episodes.

I doubt US support for the Israeli's will lesson, there are many senior positions in the security and defence departments filled by those who share a certain cultural and ethnic background with Israelis for that to happen.

Maybe one day the mainstream media will ask exactly how Tel Aviv acquired the fissile material for their unacknowledged nuclear weapon program..but I won't hold my breath. Nazi's with Nukes are not to be taken lightly.

      Delete
    6. Steve - not much to find fault with there. I think the world is a more dangerous place after the election. But not by much. The Democrats are a war party. Biden's support of the genocide by Nazi Israel has stripped away the good actor mythical mist it had enveloped itself in after the Russian war on Ukraine. If genocide in Gaza is democracy, many will wonder what then is wrong with authoritarianism? One of the BRICS countries is behind the case against Nazi Israel in the ICJ. A much more ethical position to take than the US one.

    2. Mick - she was never going to win no matter when he stepped down. The economy which seems to have won it for Trump was something the electorate blamed on the Democrats. I doubt it had anything to do with crackpot ideologies - nobody is mentioning the woketards being their reason for voting Trump. The main crackpot ideology was creationist cranks seeking to impose their religious opinion on women - which caused Trump votes and and won some for Harris.

    4. AM, I wouldn't underestimate the extent the crackpot ideologies spouted had on people's thinking, such as bearded men claiming to be women etc. When they took this craziness into kids classrooms it will normally provoke even the most carefree and placid parent to get angry. Bottom line, keep the lunatics away from kids.

    5. Mick - produce the data and I'll go with you on that. I have yet to see any. What I have seen is three factors: threat to democracy; economy; immigration. Issues like transgender or critical race theory seem not to figure. If you look at the people most opposed to transgender, for example, they believe that they have a personal relationship with the supreme creator of the universe. That is as bonkers as some dude with a beard thinking he is a woman.
Personally, I don't mind either of the two of them believing what they believe so long as they don't demand that I believe it.

    7. ' Drag-queen story hours? Tranny promotion 24/7? Post-birth abortions/infanticides? Forced vaccinations? Holy wars in Israel and Ukraine? Institutionalized censorship and repealing the First Amendment? Repealing the Second Amendment? Repealing the Fourth Amendment? Packing the Supreme Court? Open borders? Men in women's sports? Reverse sexism and racism at top volume, with white men being attacked all the livelong day just for being born? Civil War reparations 155 years after the fact? January 6 is worse than 911 and Pearl Harbor? And they might as well have had rampant inflation and food shortages on their platform, since their policies have created that as well. Given all that, any sane person should find it amazing Harris got even one vote.....' I don't live in America but the above is the point of view from someone that does. Just like the brexit vote if folk continue to believe the narrative and excuses the talking heads dictate and ignore the opinions of the folk on the ground then they should prepare for more disappointment. Being demonised and labeled for objecting to crackpot ideologies may stop people speaking out publicly but it won't stop them demonstrating their opinion via the ballot box.

      Delete
    8. Mick - they are all talking points but n0t data that indicate why people voted the way they did. For every one of them produced a list of the opposite could be churned out That is just an indication of how one person feels.

Because you or I live in Ireland, means nothing in terms of the accuracy of our opinions why people vote SF or DUP. No expertise accrues from it.

If people were really opposed to crackpot ideas they would not vote for those who advocate young earth creationism be taught in schools or those who talk about cats and dogs being eaten. People often can be quite happy to vote for those with crackpot ideas so long as they feel that by doing so their own interests as they perceive them are best served.

They might be all the things that annoy you (much of it woke wank) but we can't extrapolate from what annoys us that this is why people vote the way they did. A few people have been saying Harris lost lots of votes over Gaza but the data suggests foreign policy is not a serious issue in US presidential elections.

While no expert, it seems to me that the main factor is the economy followed by immigration.

  8. Well, goes to show what the Americans in the main thought of Harris and the Democrats. They just didn't want a bar of them.

    1. That is all true Barry but by the same token the alternative was to vote someone who is part of Biden's genocidal regime. There simply are no good choices in US politics, just ones that voters feel are likely to result in less harm. I think most people vote out of what they feel their self interest is.

And now that your hero has won, is it too much to ask you to stop your disgusting abuse of this competent women of colour?

My hero died on the 25th of June this year---my daddy will always be my hero...

The Donald is funny. Again, I have been saying this before he got elected in 2016. Maybe he isn't your kind of comic. He has almost perfect comedic timing...

Will I stop calling Kamala a cunt--no. Her record as a prosecutor in the blue state of California when she was blowing Mr. Browns willy working her way up the corporate political ladder to sitting on DNA evidence that would have freed a prisoner on death row for a rape/murder he didn't commit or how she was ok throwing the book at more African Americans for having a spliff than white men....She sat back while VP and let genocide happen on her watch----No matter what way I look at Kamala she is a cunt.

You like to talk about women's rights---What about her hubby Doug Emhoff, being accused of slapping exes in public---tells me he has done it behind closed doors....getting his babysitter/nanny pregnant ( have you ever read up on who decided on the abortion)---his treatment of female staff in a LA law firm---It takes a cunt to know a cunt and apples don't fall far from trees....

Another card you play is the race card. On the employment front, I don't pay any attention to 'Diversity, equity, inclusion'. I'm all for whoever is most qualified to get the job/position irrespective of their gender, religious beliefs, or whether they have a suntan or not. Today on 'The View ' ---- Sunny Hostin blamed "uneducated white women" for The Donald winning...... Morgan Freeman called it about right on the race card---Sunday Times interview

I mention a television interview with Freeman in 2005, in which he said the only way to get rid of racism was to stop talking about it. “I’m going to stop calling you a white man,” he told the white host, “and I’m going to ask you to stop calling me a black man.” I ask if he still feels the same.

“Two things I can say publicly that I do not like,” he begins, a rare moment when he raises his voice. “Black History Month is an insult. You’re going to relegate my history to a month?”

“Also ‘African-American’ is an insult. I don’t subscribe to that title. Black people have had different titles all the way back to the n-word and I do not know how these things get such a grip, but everyone uses ‘African-American’. What does it really mean? Most black people in this part of the world are mongrels. And you say Africa as if it’s a country when it’s a continent, like Europe.”---His point is that people talk about Irish-Americans or Italian-Americans, not Euro-Americans.

  13. Barry,

Frankie, sorry and deepest commiserations on the loss of your father.

Thanks---now you know who my hero was and always will be.

Will resume debate on another occasion.

Why? My hero died months ago and I still posted on TPQ. You want me to stop calling Kamala a cunt and I've outlined my reasons why I wont stop. If you can 'de-bunk' my reasons, I will reconsider.

Why do you use the race card in your arguments? All through the run-up to the to The Donald winning, a cunt called Kamala played it and I never heard you calling her out. On 'The View' Sunny Hostin blamed "uneducated white women" as the reason for the un-Democratic party losing---smacks of racism to me. Even Obama berated black voters who were thinking about voting for The Donald and not thinking of voting for a cunt because of her gender and suntan--Race card again......

A big part The Donald won was he didn't have entertainers, singers, or celebrities prancing around on stage telling people how to vote. Maybe some of today's A-listers should go back and listen to what A Prince from another Planet said at a press conference in Madison Square Garden in 1972 ----he was asked about his views on war and politics....

Instead of looking at themselves, the un-Democratic party is having a go at gorgeous George Clooney and others for reasons for their loss...

  14. Anthony/HJ,

Thanks again but my personal view on life and death is in between the two we all try to pay as little tax as possible...The Bible says we are all here for three score and ten---today with medical science we can add 15 years on--my hero got 14---I think everyone knows a few heads who died well before their time...

    ReplyDelete
  15. Frankie - my problem with the tax system is not in paying it but in its unfairness. Can't imagine a society without a tax system.
Death as was said by a character in the great novel on Rwanda - A Sunday at the Pool in Kigali - is just something that we do some day. The brain closes down before we even get to see 'The End'. It is said that the maximum a person can live is 115 years. There are only so many heartbeats in a human body. The vast bulk of is will never reach that and I very much doubt that I want to. 84 is a long enough innings and your philosophical attitude to dying is well worth having. Not being somebody that is guided by anything in the Bible, I don't set 70 as our due. Until the advent of modern medicine the average death age was much lower.
Anyway, feel free to write on your dad for the end of year obituaries. But feel under no pressure to do so either.
Glad all is good with you.
