In Kennedy's Song

She lifted her head and as the
Tears rolled down her silken face
They fell on his chest like rocks
And cut deep whence her pain emerged.
♞♜♝
She pulled him towards her
Felt him meld content in their confusion.
Released from her, a fearsome beauty
♞♜♝
Held captive in her eggshell heart.
So he drank her melancholy and tasted her
Fear from deep within her soul and said
Be with me.
