  1. AM what did you think about the first article? I know you have some choice words to say about Academia, did you experience similar in Queens? That article deserves a wider audience in my opinion too.

    1. Steve - I thought it sounded too much like a whine. The universities like Oxford and Cambridge are very much Toff Town but I have given talks or debated at universities in London, Southampton, Coventry, Manchester, Salford. I did likewise at Oxford and Cambridge. All of them are very unlike Oxford and Cambridge. I taught at Queens for a while and it was very much working/lower middle class. A toff was the last thing you would have seen.
