The Rise of the Warrior Cop, by Radley Balko. 

TPQ: Best and worst books you have ever read? 

BP: Rebels by Peter DeRossa and worst is Before the Dawn by Gerry Adams.

BP: 
Sam the Minuteman by Nathaniel Benchley

TPQ: Favourite Childhood author?

BP: 
Chris Van Allsburg.

BP: Ten
 Men Dead by David Beresford. 


TPQ: Favourite male and female author?

BP: 
Depends on genre, but I like Sam Millar, Karl Kane series, Lee Child - Jack Reacher series, and for woman I like Ann Rule.

TPQ: A Preference for fact or fiction?

BP: I prefer Fact, non-fiction. But again I love the Karl Kane and Jack Reacher series.

TPQ: Biography, autobiography or memoir that most impressed you?

BP: 
I loved Ernie O’Malleys On Another Man's Wounds.

TPQ: Any author or book you point blank refuse to read?

BP: 
No, I am open minded to anything.

TPQ: A book to share with somebody so that they would more fully understand you?

BP: Irish Freedom by Richard English. Bobby Sands Writings From Prison

BP: Can’t remember. Most people I know don’t read as voraciously as myself.

The Catcher In The Rye.

  1. I read a few Ann Rule books back in the 90s and found them very good. The Catcher In The Rye is one hat divides opinion here - I was not enthused by it whereas others have been gushing about it. The center of gravity in this contribution is the Irish angle - have read a lot of the stuff Billy refers to. Sam Miller is a great writer - and I wonder if Billy read On The Brinks.

    Interesting someone gave me a copy of the Koran. I dipped into it but gave up so good luck with that Billy if you ever get round to reading it.
