Alex McCrory puts to verse his thoughts on a dead comrade.
Seamus McGrane - A Solider And A Patriot
As I laid down my weary head,
I wished for no pity.
My mind was crystal clear,
And my spirit was strong.
They could imprison me,
But my ideas soared across open ranges,
Like birds with feathered wings.
It's a well trodden road by many before me: Those ghost of my youth.
I know the pain and suffering of a life devoted to a Cause.
Deprived of temporal pleasures for a far greater thing: Freedom.
But as I took my last rebel breath,
My final thoughts were of you.
Very Poignant.A true Republican in the true meaning of the word Seamus Mc Grane deserves to be remembered and acknowledged for his commitment and sacrifice to the Cause
