I, Frankenstein

John Coulter with another of his regular Irish Daily Star film reviews.

Fancy a monster of a movie, then Hollywood’s I, Frankenstein is just the ticket!

Only this time, its action fantasy rather than pure horror as the man-made creature finds itself battling rival clans. Makes a change from the usual ‘hunt the bad monster’ script.

This new ‘take’ on the traditional terror flick has some real bite with heart throb Aaron Eckhart
from Olympus Has Fallen fame.

He’s more than ably assisted by the horror cinema’s number one vampire, Bill Nighy, who was
tremendous as Viktor in the Underworld series.

The super sexy eye candy comes from a trio of babes headed by blonde bombshell Yvonne Strahovski
from the hit TV crime drama, Dexter.

She’s helped by Lord Of The Rings beauty Miranda Otto, and raunchy Neighbours soap star Caitlin
Stasey.

It may be 20 years since Hollywood hardman Robert De Niro petrified audiences as the monster in
Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, but I, Frankenstein is definitely the new trend setter.

  2. It has to be one of the all time greats Frankenstein.
What a genius Mary Shelley was!

I doubt these new flicks could ever re create the excitement and atmosphere the old ones did.
