Martin Galvin with details of this weekend's broadcast from Radio Free Eireann.

Radio Free Eireann will broadcast this Saturday July 8th on WBAI 99.5 FM radio or wbai.org at 12noon New York time or 5 pm-6pm Irish time or listen any time after the broadcast on wbai.org/archives.

Longtime Irish Republican activist and former IRA political prisoner Matt Treacy will discuss his new book, A Tunnel To The Moon: The End Of The Irish Republican Army,  and give his inside view of the endgame of the 1968-98 conflict, the transformation inside Sinn Fein, and where the party stands today in terms of ever achieving a united Ireland.

We will also interview supporters or fans of Glasgow Celtic, whose team will not take tickets for the teams playoff match at Windsor Park Belfast, because of fears of attacks by Orange bigots.

Go to our web site rfe123.org to see transcripts of last week's headline making interview with Belfast based journalist Suzanne Breen on prospects for a DUP-Sinn Fein deal at Stormont, and John McDonagh's special report on an American in Donegal blocking off Fanad's wondrous Great Arch and the community battle to reopen it.

John McDonagh and Martin Galvin co- host.

Radio Free Eireann is heard Saturdays at 12 Noon New York time on wbai 99.5 FM and wbai.org.

It can be heard at wbai.org in Ireland from 5pm to 6pm or anytime after the program concludes on wbai.org/archives.
