Sandy Boyer Memorial This Sunday In New York

The Broken Elbow has details of this Sunday's commemoration in New York for Sandy Boyer.

A reminder to New York readers in particular that Sandy Boyer’s memorial takes place this Sunday at the Theatre 80, St Marks Place in the east Village. Details below.

Sunday, April 17th: from 4 pm to 6 pm, but we will be playing music and sharing photos from 3 pm.

Location: The theatre is at 80 St. Mark’s Place, between First and Second Avenues, near the corner of First Avenue. St. Mark’s Place is between 7th and 9th Streets. The theatre is clearly marked, and is on the right hand side of the street.

Parking is really bad in the area, though since we are going there on Sunday when there are no parking regulations, hopefully there will be more street parking available. I found the nearest parking garage on East 9th Street, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues, just off the corner of Second, on the left side of the street. There is a Starbucks on the right corner of Second Avenue, as a marker there.

Disability access is not good. If you know anyone that needs to be careful with access, advise them to go in through the theatre bar entrance which is two doors to the left of the main door.
