Sean Larkin Society To Host Talk On The Rising This Friday In Magherafelt

The 1916 Societies with news of a talk this Friday in Magherafelt.

With this being the Centenary Year of the 1916 Easter Rising, the Sean Larkin Society South Derry are holding a number of events over the year ahead.

As part of our programme we are hosting a talk by local historian and noted authority on Irish Studies and language Dr Diarmaid Ó Doibhlin.

He will be joined by Dr Gerard McAtasney, acclaimed author of ‘Sean MacDiarmada – Mind of Revolution’ and ‘Tom Clarke – Life Liberty Revoultion’.

The talk will cover the events in and around the 1916 period in the South Derry area and will take place in The Terrace Hotel in Magherafelt this Friday evening at 7.30pm.

All welcome, admission is free and refreshments will be served on the night.
